LoLaFF Launches New Community Programme Ahead of the 2026 Festival

First Event: Special Screening of “Fresa y Chocolate” – 13 February 2026 at King’s College London

The London Latino Film Festival (LoLaFF) is excited to announce the launch of its new collateral community programme, a series of cultural and educational events designed to connect audiences with Latin American cinema in the months leading up to the main festival.

Our first pre-festival event will take place on:

13 February 2026
6:30 PM
Nash Lecture Theatre, King’s College University

We will be presenting a special screening of the internationally acclaimed and Oscar-nominated Cuban film Fresa y Chocolate, a timeless story that continues to resonate across generations for its exploration of friendship, identity, love, and the social and political complexities of 1990s Cuba.

This event marks the beginning of LoLaFF’s commitment to bringing the richness of Latin American storytelling to diverse communities across London—not only during the main festival dates but throughout the year. Through screenings, talks, masterclasses, and cultural gatherings, our collateral programme aims to foster dialogue, build cultural bridges, and celebrate the many voices that shape Latin American film.

The 2026 edition of the London Latino Film Festival will take place in October 2026, and the full official programme will be announced closer to the festival dates.

Stay tuned as we reveal more pre-festival events and collaborations in the months ahead. We look forward to welcoming you on 13 February for this special cinematic evening and to sharing an exciting new chapter in LoLaFF’s journey.
